Debian hardening

Hi,

I have installed the latest Debian version. I’m trying to find a way to lock the user Jan to his home directory and access CD reader. I don’t want him to access any system files.

Does anyone knows how i can do this. Thanks for all help.

You can read points 11 from this Securing Debian Manual

Thanks for your reply, but om not sure you understand what im asking for.
User should be able to access CD reader and only their on directory.
You sent a manual for backup system and analysis of malware.

The url is correct. It explains hardening a debian based system. The point you have to look is 4. There is a paragraph explaining limiting user access.

If you are facing difficulty in understanding the entire thing, you can just go through here - https://www.baeldung.com/linux/restrict-user-one-directory

Thanks I will look that up.
