Outdated MAterials

I have signed up with StationX based on the good reviews available online. But I have noticed that some of the materials are referred to in this course are outdated. Like the use of Word 2010. Based on the course update is showing that this was last updated in 2020. Am I wrong to say that this is an outdated course and does not live up to the security threat we have now days? or the course is worthwhile taking?

95% of certificate courses are up to date with the latest certificate. 95% of none certificate courses are up to date. We are updating courses as a weekly task and adding new course all the time.

Older apps and OS are very prevalent in businesses too.

Thanks for your reply. I am still going through the course. Operating system security a lot of sections still mentioning Windows 7, Windows 8 and 8.1 even though updates and support will end in Jan 2023. The OS security for those OS going to be obsolete. Will you be updating the course to cover windows 11? Same for Internet explorer. Who is using it?

Yes, we will update for Windows 11, but very few people have requested it because its adoption is still low.

Hi Nathan will you be notifying students of the updated material by chance so we can review the material?

HI Nathan currently working through your excellent courses

Just to let you know that the mxtoolbox.com scan function has been disabled as cited in 11. External Vulnerability Scanning - Shodan, Qualys & Nmap and https://www.techmonkeys.co.uk/hackcheck/index.php is no longer maintained.

It also looks likehttps://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=7558 is no longer available.

Keep up the good work!
