Security Domains and Isolation

Hi,
I am doing the Hackers Exposed course now. Is there a difference between Security Domains and Isolation, or can those terms be used interchangeably? E.g. ‘Virtual Security Domains’ and ‘Virtual Isolation’?

Thanks a lot!
Dan

They both are really different things. A security domain is like a central entity using which a person can get authenticated to get access to some sort of system. Isolation is the method of isolating systems, it can be virtual machine isolation, hardware isolation, software isolation, etc. It basically means separating it from other entities in the network.

Thanks for your answer!
