Wash error

kali@kali:~$ sudo wash --interface wlan0

[X] ERROR: pcap_activate status -1
[X] PCAP: generic error code
couldn’t get pcap handle, exiting

// using alfa network awus036acs , works fine, but wash doesn’t return anything

I have exactly the same issue. I was using Wash to find the WPS status on AP’s, but I used…

airodump-ng wlan0 --wps

and that worked fine.

I also get this ‘pcap’ problem when trying to run reaver…

reaver --bssid 24:A7:DC:D9:59:FB --channel 1 --interface wlan0 -vvv --no-associate.

This is from WPAPWS2 Cracking - Exploiting WPS Feature lecture by @Zaid @Zaid_Sabih

Can someone help me out?

In addition, the link provided to ‘downgrade’ to a known less buggy version of reaver is empty i.e. no files. :frowning:
