WiFi Adapter Automatically Changes MAC Address

I notice that my WiFi adapter has a different MAC address each time I connect it to the Kali VM. Why is this so; and if it auto changes, do I really need to change it for anonymity?

There may be some setting in the adaptor that makes it change the mac everytime it connects. It’s still a good idea to change it manually.
